Volunteer and Internship Opportunities
Centro Mujeres offers various volunteer and internship positions for upper-level undergrad students, recent graduates and graduate/professional students who are interested in promoting the health and human rights of women and adolescents in Mexico.
Interns are required to commit a minimum of 15 hours a week, for at least 12 weeks. Interns are typically given a broad range of duties related to their program area and, at the same time, assist with general office responsibilities.
LImited funding makes it difficult for Centro Mujeres to provide stipends for interns, however we will assist interns in finding affordable housing in La Paz. Many students are able to receive funding through their school’s financial aid office.

Qualifications
Both men and women are encouraged to apply. All applicants should have some knowledge of women’s and/or adolescent health issues in Mexico and/or experience working in reproductive and sexual health and rights. Excellent oral and written communication skills, editing capability (in both Spanish and English), computer proficiency, attention to detail and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team are desired qualifications.

In addition to working with a specific program or service, interns and volunteers may be active in any of the following program areas, according to their qualifications and interest:
